After more than 60 years, one of the most prestigious astronautical events will once again take place in Poland. The project will be carried out jointly by the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, the Polish Space Agency, the European Space Foundation, the City of Poznań, the MTP Group, and The Way company.
The International Astronautical Congress (IAC) is the world’s leading space conference – where vision meets strategy, and global collaboration takes form. For over seven decades, it has brought together thousands of scientists, agency leaders, industry pioneers, and emerging voices from over 120 countries. From early concepts of the International Space Station to today’s lunar and Martian missions, many of space exploration’s most transformative ideas began at the IAC.
In 2027, this landmark event returns to Poland, co-hosted by the European Space Foundation, Grupa MTP, and The Way. As the official Host Organization, ESF is committed to shaping an IAC that reflects the challenges and opportunities of our time – with sustainability, innovation, and inclusivity at its core.
IAC 2027 will be more than a gathering of space professionals. It will be a platform for co-creation, where cross-sector partnerships are formed, knowledge is shared openly, and space is connected with society’s broader priorities – from climate resilience to next-generation talent development.
With over 8,000 attendees expected, IAC 2027 in Poznań will position Europe at the center of the global space dialogue – bringing together established leaders and new voices to shape the next chapter of exploration. For ESF, it’s an opportunity not only to host a historic event, but to help define the values and direction of space in the years ahead.
