FULL BIOGRAPHY

Ania is a planetary geologist and researcher at the Polish Academy of Sciences, specializing in Martian surface processes and impact craters. At ESF, she serves as lead science advisor for projects like the European Rover Challenge, Mars Colony Hackathon, and the Earth Rescue Challenge.

She studied geology and meteoritics in Warsaw, Michigan State, Vienna, and Houston, supported by Fulbright and Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowships. With over 20 published research papers and extensive analog mission experience, Ania is also a frequent speaker and science communicator—appearing in media, conferences, and public outreach events across Europe.

Since 2019, she has designed and judged the ERC’s Marsyard challenges.
